If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
I am asking for suggestions, ideas.
I retired in 2000, having near forty years in IT beginning in 1962 when IT was just coming onto the scene. At that time it was called Data Processing. The first computer I wrote programs for was an IBM 1401G with 4,000 characters of memory. Beginning in the 70s things began to change quickly for over three decades.
I was in the technical area for twenty three years before moving to management Department and Project.
My experience is of no use today. When I retired I attended a local Community College to learn how to develop websites using Macromedia Dreamweaver Suite. I thought developing websites would be a good retirement job but today anyone can do it.
And that is my problem. Focusing on the most recent 10-15 years of my career history means 2000-1985 or 2018-2003. The first is irrelevant and the latter has nothing in it except developing a few websites, taking online courses and working at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN for seven years.
I do not expect to be a W2.
Question: Am I wasting my time? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance for any comments you make.
